The function of the engine oil pump is to force the oil to the moving surface of each part of the engine after it is raised to a certain pressure. The oil pump structure can be divided into two types: gear type and rotor type. Gear oil pumps are further divided into internal gear type and external gear type. The latter is generally called gear oil pump. It has a simple structure, small size, light weight and large oil delivery. The cycloid rotor pump adopts a structure in which the inner and outer rotors are meshed. It has a small number of teeth and a compact structure. It can form a sealed cavity without the help of other isolation elements, and its number of parts is small.

Smooth operation and low noise. The number of teeth of the inner and outer rotors of the cycloid rotor pump is only one tooth different. When they move relative to each other, the tooth surface sliding speed is small, and the meshing point is constantly moving along the tooth profile of the inner and outer rotors. Therefore, the mutual wear of the tooth surfaces of the two rotors is small. Since the envelope angle of the oil suction chamber and the oil discharge chamber is large, close to 145°, the oil suction and oil discharge time are relatively sufficient, so the oil flow is relatively stable, the movement is relatively stable, and the noise is significantly lower than that of the gear pump. Oil pumps are increasingly used in internal combustion engines. At the same time, they also play a role in engineering fields such as semiconductors, solar energy, and LCD.
