Carter 3126 excavator motor cylinder block strengthening design
Using vermicular cast iron (tensile strength ≥400MPa) casting process, the cylinder bore surface is laser honed, and the roughness Ra≤0.4μm.
The crankshaft is integrally forged with 42CrMo4 alloy steel, and the journal is high-frequency quenched with a hardness of HRC 58-62.
Combustion system configuration
Fuel injection pressure reaches 1600 bar, nozzle aperture 0.18 mm, atomization cone angle 76°±2°.
Compression ratio 17.5:1, combustion chamber adopts ω-shaped concave piston design, and swirl ratio is increased to 2.8.

A. Oil selection and replacement
Use lubricating oil that meets the Cat® standard (such as SAE 10W-30), relubricate every 500 hours or according to working conditions, and regularly replace the oil filter to ensure the cleanliness of the lubrication system.
B. Crankcase ventilation cleaning
Regularly check and clean the crankcase ventilation valve (PCV valve) to prevent sludge and contaminants from clogging and causing pressure imbalance, affecting engine performance.
