Deutz Engine Valve Tappet

The variable valve drive mechanism on the engine can be realized in two forms. One is the camshaft and cam variable system, which is to change the valve timing and valve lift by changing the camshaft or cam; the other is a variable system, in which the camshaft and cam do not change during operation, and the Deutz engine valve tappet, rocker arm or pull rod changes by mechanical force or hydraulic pressure, thereby changing the valve timing and valve lift.

Camshaft phase angle change mechanism

This design keeps the intake valve opening duration angle unchanged, that is, the cam profile is fixed, and only uses the entire camshaft to rotate an angle relative to the timing toothed pulley, thereby changing the camshaft relative to the crankshaft to change the valve timing. When the electronic control system sends a control signal, the stepper motor drives the harmonic gear transmission mechanism to work like a differential gearbox, causing the camshaft to rotate relative to the timing pulley, generating an angular displacement, and realizing the change of the engine valve timing.
