4BP - 210 gearbox analysis

The 4BP-210 gearbox has a specific torque bearing capacity and can be adapted to a variety of engines with different powers. Its rated input speed range is usually within a certain range. For example, the common minimum input speed can reach 600rpm and the maximum input speed is 2500rpm. This allows it to work well with the engine under different working conditions to ensure smooth power transmission. The maximum total input torque varies according to different application scenarios. In scenarios such as heavy equipment transportation, the maximum total input torque can reach 2100N・m, providing strong power support for the equipment. ​
The gearbox generally adopts a multi-gear design, and the setting of forward and reverse gears fully considers the actual operation needs. Taking common construction machinery applications as an example, the forward gear may be set to 4 gears, which can meet the driving needs of the equipment under different speeds and load conditions; the reverse gear usually has 3 gears, which is convenient for the equipment to operate flexibly in a small space. ​

In the field of loaders, many models such as XG968N and XG975K of XGMA are equipped with ZF 4BP210 automatic gearboxes. Loaders undertake heavy tasks such as material loading and unloading and handling in various engineering construction projects. The 4BP-210 gearbox can adapt to the frequent start-stop and gear shifting operations of loaders under complex working conditions. Its multi-gear design allows the loader to select a low gear to obtain greater torque output when climbing a slope with full load, ensuring that the equipment has enough power to overcome resistance; when driving without load, it can switch to a high-speed gear to increase driving speed and improve work efficiency. ​
For medium-sized excavators such as excavators, the 4BP-210 gearbox also shows good applicability. During the excavation process, the excavator needs to frequently adjust the action speed and driving speed of the working device. The 4BP-210 gearbox can automatically or manually accurately switch gears according to the engine output power and load changes, ensuring the efficient progress of the excavation operation while effectively reducing fuel consumption.
