As a representative of the compact diesel engine field, the Doosan D34 engine has a 3.4L displacement design that outputs 100 horsepower at 2400rpm and a maximum torque of 317lb.ft.@1400rpm, which particularly enhances the power response capability under low-speed conditions. Compared with competing products of the same level (such as Cummins QSF3.8, Caterpillar C3.6, etc.), its advantages are reflected in:

Optimized torque curve: D34 can output peak torque at 1400rpm, while similar models need to be increased to more than 1600rpm, which is more suitable for intermittent high-load operation scenarios of construction machinery;

Compact structure: 12% shorter than the traditional four-cylinder engine, suitable for small and medium-sized excavators, forklifts and other space-constrained equipment.

D34 meets the US Tier 4 Final and European Stage IIIB emission standards through revolutionary design, adopts DOC (oxidation catalyst) single-stage after-treatment solution, and completely abandons DPF (diesel particulate filter). This technical path is significantly different from competing products:

‌Improved reliability‌: Reduce the risk of failure caused by DPF blockage, and the measured failure rate is 15%-20% lower than that of the same level of models.
