Volvo D4D Engine Introduction

Automotive D4D Engine
Basic Parameters: Typically an inline four-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 1968cc. Its power output is 190 hp (140 kW) at 4000 rpm and its torque is 400 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm.
Technical Features: High-pressure common rail direct injection technology precisely controls fuel injection, improving combustion efficiency and reducing emissions. Equipped with a single turbocharger, it increases power while maintaining good fuel economy.
Maintenance: 0W-30 or 5W-30 synthetic motor oil is recommended, with an oil capacity of 5.5 liters (including filter). Routine maintenance includes oil changes every 15,000 km or 12 months, air and fuel filters every 30,000 km, and timing belt changes every 150,000 km.

D4D Engine for Construction Machinery
Basic Parameters: Taking the D4D4 EAE2 model for excavators as an example, it has a displacement of 7.15 liters and a bore x stroke of 108 mm x 130 mm. Power output ranges from 224-265 hp (167-198 kW) at 2200 rpm, and maximum torque is 1050-1200 Nm at 1200-1500 rpm.
Technical Features: It utilizes an Electronic Unit Injection (EUI) fuel system, turbocharging and aftercooling, and boasts an 18.1:1 compression ratio, meeting Euro 3/Tier 3 emission standards.
Performance Advantages: Its powerful power and torque, combined with its high torque at low speeds, make it ideal for heavy-duty excavation work, effectively improving efficiency. Its relatively low fuel consumption also reduces operating costs.
