Cylinder block strengthening: high-strength vermicular graphite iron (CGI) cylinder block, with a tensile strength of 450 MPa, 60% higher than traditional gray cast iron, and a cylinder diameter × stroke of 159 mm × 159 mm, achieving optimized power density at 19L displacement.

Breakthrough in materials and manufacturing processes
Piston anti-wear technology: A 300 μm thick plasma ceramic layer (Al2O3-13%TiO2) is sprayed on the top of the aluminum alloy piston, and a nickel-based alloy bushing is cast in the ring groove, with a wear rate of <0.005 mm/1000h.
Valve strengthening: The intake valve is laser-clad with Stellite alloy using 21-4N steel, and the exhaust valve is vacuum-infiltrated with nickel-based high-temperature alloy (Inconel 751), with temperature resistance increased to 850℃.

Reasonable exhaust system design: The exhaust system of Chongqing CSSC marine engine is reasonably designed, and the water-cooled supercharger and water-cooled exhaust pipe effectively reduce the engine surface temperature to meet SOLAS safety regulations.
