Working Principle Of Diesel Engine Accessories

Nov 15, 2024

The main accessories of diesel engines and their working principles are as follows:
Cylinder block: The cylinder block is the primary component of a diesel engine and contains all parts related to the combustion process. There is an open space in each cylinder where the combustion process takes place.
Crankshaft: The crankshaft converts the reciprocating linear motion generated by combustion into rotational motion and is a key component of engine energy conversion.
Connecting rod: The connecting rod connects the crankshaft and the piston, transmits the power generated by combustion, and is an important component of engine power transmission.
Piston: The piston forms the bottom of the combustion chamber. When the engine is working, the piston reciprocates up and down in the cylinder to complete the intake, compression, combustion and exhaust strokes.
Cylinder head: The cylinder head is installed on the upper part of the cylinder block, seals the cylinder and forms a combustion chamber, and withstands high temperature and high pressure loads.
Valve: The valve controls the intake and exhaust process. Usually, each cylinder has 2 intake valves and 2 exhaust valves1.
‌Injector‌: The injector is responsible for injecting fuel into the cylinder, accurately controlling the injection timing and injection amount, and is the most complex part of the combustion system‌ .

‌Camshaft‌: The camshaft controls the opening and closing of the valve through mechanical transmission, and some engines control fuel injection through the camshaft‌ .

‌Cylinder liner, oil pan, cylinder head, piston connecting rod, flywheel crankshaft, transmission mechanism parts, camshaft, starter, generator, intake pipe, exhaust pipe, air filter, oil pump, fan pulley parts, oil filter, oil cooler, oil pipe, water pump, water tank, supercharger, high-pressure oil pump, etc.‌: These parts together constitute the complete system of the diesel engine, ensuring the normal operation and efficient work of the engine‌
